Foreigan Policy Incapatabaaly?

Every since Trump was in Office it has been clear that there has been tension between Trump and NATO alies. He has challenged them over paying their share of the defence coasts for Europe and his playing Patty Cake with Putin have underscored a critical difference in how Trump and Europe see themselves and how that comports with Putin’s view of Russia in the world today. Putin has been clear that he believes the breakupof the Soviet Union was a low point for Russia and he would like to think he could restore comething close to the the USSR. Europe understands this. It bothers European nations. Not so much Trump. He has in so many words said if people are not paying for their share of the defnsehe would tell Putin to go ahead, do what you want with them.

Such a position would have shocked the Republican Party of past. This is a pretty good indication that this is no longer that party. Some GOP members of the senate have quietly expressed concern about this. They did come around and finally vote a new aid package for Ukraine, with some opposition. J.D. Vance and Truman are together on this point. The Hill reports that some National Securith minded Republicans are finding this troubling.
