Causes German Officials Some Construnation
Germany has tried hard to espionage their history of the holocaust — indeed a tragic moment in the history of both the state and the Jewish population that for the horrific genocide they suffered at the hand of the Hitler and the Third Reich. And so as the years since have progressed, Germany has come to embrace what became the Jewish state of Israel.
In the matter of the attack in Israel by Hamas, to support Israel felt like a historic duty in Israel. German chancellor traveled to Tel Aviv only days after the attack to stand beside Israeli prime minister in solidarty with the nation. Germany by the way is the second largest supplier of military hardware, only to the Unted States.
Last week the German chancellor stood next to Netanyahu again, only this time his words were strained by the realization of the war on the ground in Gaza. He asked:
“No matter how important the goal, can it justify such terrably high coast?”
A death toll that has climbed over 32,000 the bulk of which are children, followed by women makes it difficult for many around the world to ask how this is justifiable. The tone of much of the war cabinet is non apologia with one official saying every child over 4 should die.
