House Speaker Mike Johnson’s Memory and The ACA

Since the days of Trumps many repeal efforts it has only grown more popular with voters

House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke of “massive” health care changes in the United States if Donald Trump is elected. MSNBC reports that the Speaker has since tried to walk back those comments, however a vidio of the remarks seems pretty straignt forward.

The Trump campaign is shying away from the remarks and most House Republicans are perfectly fine not discussing it. Speaker Johnson may have some memory problems on this issue. Does he not recall the more than 60 times votes to repeal the act have failed?

Since the fateful day the the late Senator John McCain provided the fatal blow to the last effort, the AFC has only grown more popular and has created as a result the highest levels of Americans with Health Care Coverage in history.

If the ACA has not been a issue this campaign cycle, it is not because health care issues are not on the minds of voters. They have taken on new directions. Among them have been the immergence of women’s health care in the aftermath of the court striking down Roe protections.
