I'm going to make a couple of observations here. One is that I have no idea what a win looks like here and I don't think anyone else does either.
Israel has crawled into the gutter with Hamas when it decided it was perfectly fine to engage in Geneside because Hamas did. They are sinking to the lowest of low in the world opinion as the death toll has surpassed 15,000 and continues to rise hourly. 70% of the victims are women and children. And so I ask, What exactly will a win look like?
Hamas is a terrorist organization that dresses itself up as a resistance movement. The Palestinian people need a genuine resistance movement. Hamas cannot be it for the same reason that Israel now has crawled into the gutter with Hamas and is seen as an agent of genocide. And the Palestinian people are in no better position to claim victory.
I wrote a whole piece on Netanyahu - has stalled any piece initiative intentionally for years. This was his plan to stay in power,
It is hard to see any winners at all in this. Hate begets hate. This will get worse before it can ever get better and it would take a miracle for that to be anytime in the next decade or two.
The Palestinians have lived in a fenced-in outdoor prison. They now live in a fenced-in heap of graves
Israel should have known better. given its own history than to let Netanyahu and the hard-liners create this mess. John F. Kennedy once said, "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, will make violent revolution inevitable."
