Palestinian Artist and Husband Killed in Christmas Day Israeli Air Strike
ATTACK OCCURRED ON A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

A Palestinian artist and her husband were killed in an Israeli air strike on their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on Wednesday. The couple were pronounced dead after being taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital nearby.
The couple, Walaa Jumaa al-Afranji and Ahmed Saeed Salama and they were in their home when the Air Strike occurred. They had been displaced to the camp after Israel’s war on the enclave began in October 2023. Afranji was a novelist, artist and into fashion design.
Besides the couple 11 other people were killed in the attack. At least 45,338 have been killed in Gaza since the attacks began. That would not include the significant numbers of persons remaining under the sprawling rubble that are uncounted among the dead because their remains have not been recovered. There have been nearly 108,000 injured.
The couple were well thought of in the community. Walaa Jumaa al-Afranji has a well followed Instagram Account
Attacks in Gaza have been stepped up and in recent days both members of the Press and Civil Defense workers have been targeted.
