Pennsylvania Nearly 160,000 Republicans Voted forNikki Haley in the GOP Primary Over Trump

Harris sees them as a path to winning Pennsylvania

In a memo to NBC News in advance of tonight’s Harris rally in bellweather Erie, Pennsylvania, Harris Campaign explained that it’s road to victory will rely on what it is seeing as strong gains in suburban counties here and elsewhere.

In the GOP primary — Republicans in Pennsylvania voted nearly 160,000 times for Nikki Haiey over Trump. If you will recall, there were many Hailey voters being interviewed that expressed they could not do Trump. Harris is hopeful that she can be the antidote to Republicans that cannot. stomach another. Trump Presidency. They believe these voters can prime the pump for votes that cut what would normally be Republican votes.

Turning out the strong Democratic areas, plus shaving percentages off the Republican totals giving them the recipe to turn a tight race in this state into a win of the state that many say is a key to electoral college 270 votes needed to win. For such a plan to work, it would mean boosting her popularity among educated suburbanites. This is a real vulnerability for Trump.

The educated women voters here are seen as likely to be tuned into the message of making sure that. women have the freedom to choose following Trump’s role in the Row decision of 50 years being overturned.

These suburbs may well be the most intensively battled for real estate in Pennsylvania, and any other state for that matter.
