Rabbi Eliyahu Mali In Influencial Positrion to Shape IDF Minds

The head of the Biblical Religious Institute “Yeshivah Shirat Moshe” in Jaffa, Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, has called on his students, who are serving in the Israeli occupation army after graduating from the yeshivah, to commit massacres against the residents of Gaza.

A Jewish rabbi who teaches Students becoming Israeli soldiers is pushing an agenda that that according to Jewish law, “all residents of Gaza must be killed,” asked about womwn, elderly, and children, he replied that “the same applies to them.”

As shocking as this may seefm, how far fetched this sounds, how far from the reality on the ground is it?

Rabbi Eliyahu Mali described the war waged by the Israeli occupation on Gaza as a “religious war. Do not leave any of them alive according to the book of Deuteronomy in the Torah. He went on to single out women because, “Women are practically the ones who produce the saboteurs.”

PUSHING BACK

The calling by the Rabbi for more blood in Gaza was met with push back. Merav Michaeli, leader of Israel’s opposition Labor Party, condemned the rabbi’s comments. “Using halakha does not give any rabbi permission to present Judaism or Israel as bloodthirsty and vengeful,” Michaeli insists. She called on the Israeli military to “stop cooperating with the religious school (in Jaffa) until the rabbi is dismissed” and not to allow “such dangerous moral corruption within its ranks.”

It has been notable that since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza, many Israeli officials have heated up their hate speech against Palestinians and called for their massacre. The minnister of military affairs Yoav Gallan calling Gazans “human animals” and the so-called heritage minister Amichai Eliyahu suggesting the use of atomic weapons against Palestinians. Gallan along with Prime Minister Netanyahu have had warrants issued by the International Court of Justice for war crimes in Gaza
