White House condemns as “a total outrage”

BBC News — Aid trucks bound for Gaza

Israeli media, is reporting the Tzav 9 activist group are responsible for organising a protest to stop the shipments of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Trucks were looted and food and grain spilled and stomped on by the group in action designed to prevent the goods from being delivered to those in need in Gaza.

Spokespersons for the White House expressed outrage at hearing the news. The humanitarian situation among the Palestinian refugees has been described as dire by the UN and various international Aid groups.

There was some unverified sources that say some trucks were set ablaze. This would not be surprising as UN operational facilities have been recently the site of arson fires that have been condemned by the UN not only for the destruction but placing the lives of workers in danger as well.

There have been incidents of Israeli women forming blockades to prevent the aid from entering Gaza in recent past.

The degree of food insecurity throughout the Gaza Strip has been a source of international concern.

The degree to which Israeli citizens have go to in order to halt food and water in to the people, as well as ongoing efforts to IDF to prevent emergency ambulances to reach children who have been wounded displays a level of disregard for humanity by Israeli people. The same can be said in the West Bank where Israeli settlers have beaten civilians and burnt their homes while IDF soldier stand and watch. These are some of the most disturbing actions that occurred in addition to the fighting itself.

The stated goal by Netanyahu is to eliminate Hamas, but the civilian population has taken the brunt of loss of life and suffering.
