A STUDY OF ISRAEL’S ASSAULT ON HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS AND WATER INFRASTRUCTURE FINDS THAT THESE WERE NOT “RANDOM”
An evaluation of the damage between October 7th and November 22nd in the Gaza strip shows that “health, education and water facilities in Gaza were not damaged in a random patters, but rather that damage was highly clustered on these facilities,” said Yara M. Asi, PhD. Assistant Professor aththe University of Central Florida. Professor Asi is a lead author on the study.
High-resolution satellite imagery was used to evaluate the damage and open-source data maps to identify the various facilities. The authors used spatial analysis to overlap the damage to health, education and water facilities during the study period.
