Being Creative about Creativity

The Great Thing About Creativity Is Always What is So Frustrating When It is Not Going Well

You can take Creativity anywhere you want to go. It’s portable I can stop at a coffee shop for a half hour and if I want to, I have everything I really need to be in a creative framework because it is in my head where this occurs or fails to happen. That is both the beauty and the and the ultimate frustration of it. To have what you need right there in front of you and fail to achieve results.

WRITING RETREATS

I have been on a couple writing retreats but I have also done my own. Writing retreats can get a little pricey but you can look for deals sometimes and once and a while find some source for funds to sponsor your retreat. Those sometimes necessitate travel and depending on distance, can certainly add to the cost.

AN ALTERNATIVE —

Hear me out. What if you decided to spend a designated amount at time or some other location — a friends maybe, and create your own Writing Retreat? It can work. I know because I have done it, more thanonce. You just have to get a little but creative in your planning, and then do it.

Held captive in the Midwest but I love San Francisco, black coffee, chardonnay and diet coke. My vice is SF Giants baseball. I'm the poet you are running from.
