So How Was the Debate?

Biden — not his best performance. Trump — No inclination to honesty.

Some Takeaways from last night’s first debate of 2024:

1. Biden — not his best performance, voice was soft spoken, lacked inflection. Appeared to have over prepared — stumbled often when quoting numbers. The jumbling of numbers tells me he was too focused on recalling statistics and should have focused more on the substance.
2. Trump- had either a dour look or smirk on his face all night. It was one or the other. The format helped him because it is the only time he has been able to control himself talking over others in debate.
3. Biden — for the most part answered questions posed by moderator. Was largely factual in his presentation.

4. Trump — Failing grade in honesty. Ir was nowhere to be found. EXAMPLES:

Lied about his involvement in JANUARY 6.

Lied about invasion of Ukraine by Putin. Made blod oulandist claims that. he could have stopped it if he had been president. That he could get Russia out if it as soon as elected.

Lied about well acknowledged disparaging remarks about military men and women, especially those who have been wounded.

Lied about his actions related to his recent convection on 34 counts of fraud related to his paying off prrn star to keep story from becoming public in the days before last election.
