Trump Stumps for Libertarian Vote

As of May this year, Libertarians are the third largest political party in America. There are roughly 742,000 registered Libertarians. One hundred seventy eight are holding elective office. ztheirwins have come in local and state elections. (source)

If you are wondering how Trump might be received with Libertarians, They tend to be more liberal than many Democrats. Many of their positions in on cultural issues in particular. But when it comes to financial matters they are quite conservative.

His appearance before the convention was clearly less than encouraging. It Trump like fashion he end the speach, that was punctuated by boos, by insisting there were ways they could come together to benefit each other even if they did not endorse him, but went on to conclude he he hoped that some could support him anyway, but if you want to go on losing like alwaus, go ahead. Not exactly a way to close the deal.

Liberterians seek a substantially reduced size of Government. Partly to reduce the intrusiveness of government and cut and eliminate taxes. They are keen on the ability to freely make choices without unnecesary government interference. Their leaning to expansive freedoms would dramatically run counter to Trumps…
